EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION AND SERVICES IN THE CONURBATION USING A WEB SERVICES APPLICATION BASED ON SPATIAL GEOGRAPHIC DATA
Abstract
There is no such thing as a forewarning in an emergency. In the actual world, reporting such events is a huge challenge. This project includes a detailed analysis of existing systems as well as a new method to address the common problem of requiring manual action when reporting an emergency. To detect and report crises, we offer a unique technique based on machine learning. In the case of an emergency, this system will record it and send it to the appropriate authorities in near real time. There are two options for notifying authorities of an emergency. Emergency responders can be dispatched to a person's location by smartphone, or they can report to a central location and a response team will arrive with emergency services such as medical, fire, and law enforcement. Three phases are involved in its operation: emergency detection based on the user's current location, data collecting and processing, and reporting via a web-based application. For those who are in need of assistance, a client-server geographic information system and a smartphone application are now being created for them. As soon as the user selects an emergency service, such as medical assistance, firefighting, or police, the client application determines the user's current location, as well as that person's name and contact number (identity), in order to provide service. The client application then registers that user with the appropriate emergency service provider. Following the completion of the registration procedure, you will have two options. Someone in need of assistance can choose the service that is closest to them in an emergency, such as a medical service that is close by hospitals to provide medical care, a fire service that is close by fire stations to provide fire protection, or a police service that is close by police stations to assist with criminal or illegal activities. Second, after registering, the information will be saved on a server database, allowing the rescue team to retrieve the information and provide the individual with the appropriate aid they require. In order to implement this programme, every rescued person's emergency information, including their position, will be logged and plotted on Google maps. In the online application, the Geographic Information System (GIS) will recognise emergency person coordinates (latitude and longitude) collected by GPS and display those coordinates on maps created by the GIS system. The current project, which makes use of a smartphone, tracks an user's destination and sends a beneficial signal to their family, friends, or anyone else by choosing a contact number from their mobile phone and transferring it via sms or a social networking implementation such as Facebook, email, or WhatsApp, so that front-line employees are aware that the person is in need of assistance and can provide it.
